Are you kidding? Where would I be without my wife? Nowhere'sville that's where. She is a great gal and I'm not sure why she loves me as she does, even when I do stupid things like spend money on an inanimate object such as my John Deere 49'"A".
If most of you thought about it you would come to the same conclusion that our wives are GOOD for us and our little hobbies.

Well lets see, I can paint my tractor any color, and it's ok. I can yell at my tractor, and it just sits there, and don't say a thing. I can buy used things for it and it is ok. I can go all day with out talking to it, and it's ok. My tractor never gets a head ache. I guess I will still put my wife first. Stan

Never had to chose. I have said on here before and I will say it again, the last thing my ex-wife said to me before she moved out was "I think you love them d***ed cows more that you love me. I think my reply sent her over the edge. I just scratched my head and said "well they are glad to see me when I get home, they try to pay thier own way round here, and evey once in a while I can grap one of their t**'s with out gett'n kicked." 24 hours later I was in the lawyers office, best $600 I ever spent.

It took me two trys but I got it right the second marraige----I love my wife and my tractors.

I tell everyone that I am having marital problems, my wife keeps nagging me, she wants me to buy more tractors.

It really bothers me to see a wife bitching about her husbands tractors. If he enjoys it and can afford it, whats the problem?

My ex-wife readily admits to her having hated that red tractor of mine.

Roger that. I find it's ALWAYS easier to fix the tractor. Unless it's one of those new, high-dollar computerized tractors, then I can probably apologize my way out it with a woman, not so with a tractor.

I have a shirt that says, "will trade wife for tractor". I've had no takers on the offer and since the divorce rate is so high I must presume the guys are keeping the tractors and letting the wives go. I just don't understand, the wife is a good looking women and I'll take a fixer upper.

No woman around here. Have 15 tractors that share me equally and don't complain if I don't give more attention. Never had one run off with another tractor or sit and expect me to support them.
Guess after 16 years I have gotten used to the idea.

Now, my dog is a different story. More demanding than any woman or tractor... Gene

My Wife. My tractors have never shown any sign of loving me back. I have not had a tractor hold a light for me to find a bolt in the dark. I have not had a tractor cook one meal. I have not had a tractor put even one load in the washer. I have not had one tractor clean up my dirty tracks from not cleaning my shoes before coming into the house. I have not had one tractor feed the horses when I was kinda sick or had to be gone at feeding time.
I would miss not having tractors if it came to that but not near as much as I would miss my wife.

Your tractors sound just like my exwife. The nice thing about a tractor is, when it starts to fart and beller, whine and just totally tick me off, I can just shut it off and, it's nice and quiet.

Don't know if I want to touch that one. Let's just say the wife knows better than say it's them or her. On the other hand,I've got eight tractors and only one wife. She's got nothing to be jealous of. Way back in the day, when we got back from our honeymoon,a few people asked my wife if we took any tractors with us. Guess that was her tip as to what she'd gotten herself into.

Both the same.

Neither one will tell me what it/they need but rather that I be a mind reader and figure their needs out on my own. Both require a lot of maintenance and tend to get run down and lose energy after a while. They both seem to get pouty after time and I really have no cure for that other than a complete rebuild. I guess the tractor is better because it doesn't require that I leave the toilet seat in a particular position after use.
