The reason I asked was that about a month ago I had one on my Ford tractor that had rotton spots on it and you could touch it and it would fall apart and it had a bad leak. The radiator shop was going to charge 70 bucks to TRY to fix it.I plan to keep the tractor the rest of my life so I ordered one from this site for 200 bucks. I figured that might have been the cheapest way out.

Seems like any shop should be willing to sell you a core- rather than miss a sale where they do the install. This way, they have no liability for leaks.

Sounds like the perfect job for any local radiator repair shop. Look in the yellow book and see if you've got any around.

yeah the one in my area does not do a great job I had them work on my car before the fan ate the radiator and I told them to fix the problem as I didn't have time to 3 days later it happened again turns out the clutch fan was the problem they patched the new radiator I bought from them and thats all I could get I still had to replace the fan clutch and deal with a (new) repaired radiator so I started doing my own radiator repairs at that point
