Last night someone tried to steal my 99 f350sd,couldnt get in cab but stole quite a few tools from my tool box and did a number on the lock and lid. They then went after my friends 99 Ford Expedition. It has the key pad lock system on the door and an alarm system, the alarm never went off but the system kept them from getting engine running. They destroyed the tumbler assembly as well as the center console and the plastic on the column.I cannot figure how they got in everything was locked and no broken glass.Due to the damage they have done I cannot get engine started. I cannot afford to repair right now, I only get disabilty with a little "repair cash".How can I bypass this to start engine to get it moved? It is blocking my garage where I have some repair work I need to get out.I have an implant in my lower back that controls my guts so I cant push it. THank you in advance.

Ford really hosed up the anti theft design. On many models it is dependant on the dome light going on to set it off. Here in Texas they take a pair of long nose and bust two fins out of the grill allowing them to grasp the hood release cable with the pliers, open the hood and cut the battery cable. No power..no alarm. Seen many Expeditions busted into this way. Local cops traced alot of it to window tint and stereo installation joints. They would get the address of the Expedition owners and go get the DVD players and such ay night.

If you can get some help and the driveway isn't too steep put a hydraulic jack under the differential and lift the rear wheels an inch off the ground...a guy with a good back can move the beast all around until you are able to fix it.

Your truck repair should be covered under the comprehensive part of your truck insurance policy. It may cover the towing too. Notify your local police and your insurance company ASAP. Hal

You have to fix it. I would call your car insurance and tell them it needs to be flatbedded right to the ford dealer right now. I have a 99 navigator and have gone through the bs of not being able to start the thing. Ford dealer did some work on it and after that two of my keys wouldn't work any more. It had to go back and get all the keys done. This is what vehicles have evolved to! Or maybe de-evelution would be a better description.

No clue how to start it, but you could pull it out of the way-I realize not most desireable thing to do, or you could hire a tow truck to move it out of the way. Greg
