tripod deer feeders question

Am looking at those tripod deer feeders any one give me any feedback on them? seems they have more options than a car, battery, timer, solar cell, etc?

in Wisconsin they have been banded so if you look around in the papers or run a add on Craigslist you should find a deal

Harvey, I have an old tripod 55 gal barrel feeder my Dad built years before he passed, and that was in 92! The slinger is one I got from Tractor Supply, 4 yrs ago, It is the kind that mounts to the bottom of a barrel with 3 or 4 screws, round w/ a built in cage to keep coons out! Had a place for a reg 6 volt batt inside the round black canister where the motor and brains are.
I added a big solar charger to keep the batt chaarged up. Every fall all I have done is just pour in my corn, press "test" to check the time and spin rate. and off I go. OBTW I am on my original batt,,,,,4 yrs old annd still going strong. Hope this helps!
