The elevator back home had a 66 Binder 3/4 ton with a PTO. They would pull a fertilizer spreader with it. The pto ran the fan and there was a ground driven drag chain to feed the fan.

I had a 1974 Ford once that someone had put a PTO on. It's been 20 years ago, but the guy I bought it from used it to run a grain auger and some other stuff.

My neighbor has an old Chevy (76?) that he put a PTO on and he would haul the manure spreader out to the field and spread with it. If you have the time and the money, anything can be built. SDE

Call me a Hillbilly. I spray with the feed mills free to use ground driven sprayer. Pull it with my nice pickup in 4 low AC on recirculate. No fumes or headache and I listen to the radio. I also use my pickup to spread fertilizer with a ground driven spreader provided free by the same mill. Saves my back but is not quite as manuverable as the tractor rig. Yes I have a perfectly good tractor but this method really saves my back. Around here lots of people do this.

I have a pto on the back of my '53 willys and used to run a brush hog mower with it. I did not have the three point as they are difficult to find.

Jeep had this. I've always wanted it on another truck.

But now they are doing the opposite way. Tractors made to run as fast as pickups on the road. JCB Fastrac comes to mind as I see many of them around here in Ohio now.

They work very well. The guy who does my difficult machine work has several. Cuts his grass with one, winch with A frame on the other end. Has a tiller that he uses every spring. Post hole auger works well. Always on the lookout for another body.

I've got Kaiser and AM General deuce-and-a-halfs. Live power available both ends. Had a guy here get excited about making hay with one, way cheaper than a tractor. Don't think he ever did.
