I am looking to rewire my old JD bulldozer and spoke with my JD dealer who said that I cannot buy the wiring harnesses that I need for my machine. Is there anywhere that I could buy the different plastic connectors and rewire the machine myself?

As another post suggested Waytek should have what you need for the plastic parts as well as the terminal ends. Before you go buying alot of new ends, remember unless the plastic pieces are realy screwed up you can simply remove the old wires and reuse them.

If they are the Delphi 56 series connectors I've got a good selection of them I got from Waytek Wire. If you go to www.waytekwire.com you can order a free catalog from them and they've got a great selection of products at very reasonable prices.

Oh yeah, good call!

I quit buying wiring looms way back in the sixties when they crossed the $50 mark.

You can just about build any loom for any application for under $15 and less than an hour's time.

I am no expert on the Deeres but more then likely it may have the delco 56 terminals and i get or did get everything i needed to make up harness for the I H tractors from a place called Terminal Supply . Also if ya do some junk yard scrounging you will find what ya may need on the older Cheves and GMC's from back in the 60'-70's and also I H semi trucks. Man can ya ge a ton of the plastic end off one of them . But beware the clear plastic ones will not stand up in the weather only the black ends will.

I don't know what you mean by "old", but DEERE has a WIDE assortment of the plastic connector bodies to match up with their equipment, going back to AT LEAST the "New Generation Era" of the early 60's.

The dealer will have an illustrated parts catalog showing what connectors and connector "bodies" are available, if only the partsman will LOOK.

Try Brillman.com, they should have the harness. If not they will have the wires and connectors. CalJim
