I have a 1951 Case Dc With th eagle hitch lift. I'm looking for a trailer type plow and have found a few locally. What I need to know is what size plow I can pull, I do not have any wights on the tractor nor do I have fluid in the tires. Any help would be great. Thanks

No weights or fluid subtract 1 bottom from what any tractor will pull with the fluid and weights.

I pull 2 16's here in KY. Our ground has some clay in it. It could probably handle 3 14's in lighter soils.

We still have the '51 dad bought new. It has 4" pistons and good 13.6x38 tires with fluid but no weights. For 56 years it's pulled 2-14's in first/second gear. The tractor is no slouch. No one pulls more around here...Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Here in WC IL a late DC case would stand up to an M Farmall and JD A or G. With M&W pistons one ran circles around my Grandfathers JD A with a Powerblock and my great grandfathers Super M with big pistons chopping corn. I'd say 2 16" would be an easy pull without weight. With weight 3-14s's.

My uncle had a Case DC years ago. It had loaded tires but no weights. He pulled 2-16s in clay soil. I do remember him waiting for rain in late summer to be able to plow wheat stubble.

We pulled 3-14's with a SM Farmall. Loaded tires and wheel weights. 2nd gear if I remember right.
