I recently purchased a Case 1370. Everything works good on the tractor , but the three point. I tried it today and I cant get it to raise or lower. It does nothing at all. Anybody got suggestions, where to start?

Jeremy, for starters, check your hydraulic fluid level. Greg

If no dipstick, I'd get one and a set of filters ASAP. Go ahead and change the fluid and filters on it.

If everything works but the 3pt (hydraulic remotes, powershift, PTO) it sounds to me like the linkage is unhooked somewhere between the leaver and the internal parts of the control valve. Thats the first thing I would do is trace down the connections to make sure that the valve is opening.

If thats working then I would trace down the position control circuit. If the valve is open for aux or external power beyond it may have your 3pt shut off. Seems I recall there is a setting for that somewhere but I dont remember how to do it.

Good advise also he can see parts list on case web site.Dipstick is at right rearof tractor an part no is a153269. It is fillcap -breather- dipstick combination. Also tractor with that amount of age might have stiff controls so good shot of wd40 oh leaver pivot pins would be good idea.

I'm not sure a dipstick was used on any of the 1370's. The ones I have seen use two sight bulbs which are located on the right side of the tractor, just in front of the rear axle. I use HY-TRAN oil from Case-IH dealer.
