Sounds like throw out bearing is in need of grease or "shot" There should be a grease fitting on the side of the clutch housing for this. If that doesn
t fix it, you"ll have to split the tractor, depending on the hours on the machine likely a whole clutch job is prudent, seems to me the clutch job on our 495 a few years back was well over a grand or so including machining the flywheel.

Don't know if you can grease a 885 throw out bearing or not,lot of them are sealed and if its squeaking its shot.Check and see if there is access to it and if its greaseable. If it is the throwout bearing, yes fix it right away,it can get worse in a hurry. Can eat the fingers off your pressure plate. The tractor will have to be split, and you should put in a new clutch assembly at this time because of the labor involved.Call a couple of dealers and get a price to split and put in a clutch assbly.

Yeah! Sounds like it about as dry as it can get. Time for a new one maybe.

Gotta be a throw-out bearing, don't ya think? Sounds like the classic symptom.
