I am looking for a fan switch for my Reznor natural gas fired 75,000 btu unit heater. It is a small, heat sensitive switch which mounts atop the bonnet. The switch turns the fan on when the bonnet is hot enough. I'm told parts are no longer available for this unit. Any suggestion where I can buy switches? I have the old one with numbers marked on it. It sure seems there must be an after market switch that would work. However, I'm striking out so far. THe furnace is in very good shape.

Couldn't you just turn the fan on manually? As long as you got it turned on before the "bonnet" overheats, you'd be fine. Otherwise, I'd start at Grainger. They probably won't have the exact part for your heater, but they'll most certainly have the part you need.

Take a look at the link below. How many terminals?

If only 2, you're in luck!

(SOME such thermostats have 4 terminals, 2 are for an internal heater that heats up the thermostat for quicker action on a "cold start".)
