My fathers 1020 has a remote add on that was purchased through a JD dealer about 28yrs. ago. It runs off the rockshaft, we haven"t used it for about 10 yrs. A year ago we replaced the hydraulic pump that runs off the front of the crank. We tried to use the remote to test the pressure but it didn"t work. We tied up the rocker arms but couldn"t remember if there is some other switch or lever other than the 3pt lever to activate. HELP

The entire proper two way remote hydraulic system can be had for a few bucks from any salvage yard. The same two way control valve and remote couplers were used on dozens of utility tractor models from the 20 to 55 series. Mid 1960's until 1990.

If I remember correctly you tie the rockshft arms down if you're hooking a hose into the hole in the side of rockshaft housing.. Tx Jim
