I have a coop e3 with 2 different rear axles. I know that the splined axle is correct, but can anyone tell me off of what tractor that a keyed shaft would have come out of to fit the housing of did someone just rig it to work. The number on the hub is 3870Q63 and the key is 5/8 inch. Im just wondering?

The Cockshutt 30 (E3 COOP) ad two different style axle setup because the early setup leaked oil so bad

You need to remember that rear end was built for Cockshutt by Timken. Now Timken also made that rear end for other manufactures. Maybe one of those had the keyed axles.
