Any of you wine country folks out there seen efforts like this ? I haven't but of course we're not a big wine state. It sure looks like the owner is set on protecting his investment and had a few bird/deer issues.

It's hard to imagine the labor involved but I guess he has no choice. Its only been a working vineyard for a few years now. A determined guy no doubt. There must be several miles of this netting. Maybe you corn guys will need this stuff is ethanol demand keeps rising.

Here in northern California they cover alot of the grapes with netting, it is not done by hand but with an implement behind the tractor that unrolls the netting from a large spool. CalJim

California is a grape growing state. We grow a lot of grapes up north in the Napa area and down south in the Temecula region. I have not seen anyone have to go to netting a vineyard. The dry stone wall looks like upper NY state?

Actually eastern Connecticut, a few miles from the Rhode Island border. So many stones around here, they named the town after them- Stonington.

The closer you get to Rhode Island, the weirder things get. Must be all the donut shops or something?
