Thinking about that kubota, and realised that there is no way after 2.0 hours, the fuel filter is shot. What do ya think?

It could too be the fuel filter at 2 hours if the fuel was not clean or had water in it. The tank may have had dirt in it also.

Lanse, call the dealer, your new tractor has a warranty and if you mess with it yourself you will void it. I saw one of those B3030 tractors yesterday at a fair. I took notice of the price on it since you had been talking about that model. This one had a cab, 4x4, and a loader, asking price was $22,748, you'd better make use of the warranty!.

Wow, I can't believe they get that much for that little bugger. I just bought a slightly used 07' M7040 with a cab, 4x4, kubota loader, bucket, bale spear, three remotes, 80 hrs on the tractor, ave $28,000 for it. Can't tell it from a new one. I must have gotten a bargain?

I'll bet you could have gotten this one for the same price. That radio/cd will be nice.

I pulled fuel tanks out of 3 new Kubotas this year. With the same symptom.

1...60 hours on the tractor, I Found tin foil top from a fuel additive bottle plugging the fuel outlet on the tank. (with 60 hours on the tractor I suspected the customers fuel supply left the tin in the tank) picked up, repaired and delivered tractor.

2...7 hours on tractor, I found large flat rubberband in pieces in the fuel tank plugging the oulet. (likely left on fuel sender at installation time at factory) Picked up, repaired , delivered tractor.

3...8 hours on tractor I found a large moth in the tank blocking the fuel outlet. (difficult to determine origin) Picked up, repaired, delivered tractor

All tractors were repaired buy dealer good will.

Only the customer with 60 hours on the machine was charged for Pick up and Delivery at a reduced rate.

No OEM Will Warranty Fuel Quality problems.

I personally recommend using a funnel with a built in filter or filtered supply to avoid contamination.

I think this is a dealer problem, not a manufacturer problem. Diesel fuel is touchy if even a few monthes old, it could have plugged the filter easily if the tractor was on the lot for a time. You will love the Kubota. I bought a 20 year old Kubota and had the same problem, after a new filter/new fuel it has been running great for 3 years with no problems and do not expect any. Fuel filters are cheap, get one and new fuel and go forward, you will not regret it.

If that new tractor sat around a while you could have some water in the fuel, which sometimes encourages a type of algae/slime to form in warmer weather and that will plug a fuel filter in 2 hrs easily.

Lanse, on my Kubota ZD21 zero turn mower, it has a simaler engine to what your B3030 should have. One time I was mowing along and all of a sudden mower sputered and went down to idle, I stopped and waited a second and it came back and I took off again. Did that four or five times that day. Put on a new fuel filter and away we went, it's never happened again. I didn't have to bleed mine, the filter was clear so I could see the fuel. I just turned on the key and let it pump for about 1 minute till the filter was full, hit the key and she fired right up. It's highly possible you got a bad first tank of fuel.

On 2nd thought I'll bring my 445 Long and 6 ft finish mower over and show you how its supposed to be done.Might even trade you for a little difference. All jokes aside every Junkbota I have ever run was totally gutless for its 'rated HP'

If there is bad fuel in it yes. If it is new, tell them to come fix it. It's under warranty right?

If it's not a fuel filter, it could be a safety/dead man switch giving trouble. Either way if it's new let the dealer fix it as others have said. Might not be a bad idea to watch and learn.
