I have a Ford 1800 Series Industrial loader/backhoe tractor. I am told that the backhoe is a 713 series made for ford by Wain-Roy. The hydraulic hose ford P/N 291172 from the valve body to backhoe failed. The fittings are no longer produced so I can"t get a hose made. Any ideas where I can get one or modify the fittings to accept a new one? Tractor is still useful if i can get this hose. Ford dealer was not much help.

So tell me..... .....
Is it you did not check the Ford dealer?
The dealer did not know what he was looking for?
Or you just did not like the price he had?

A hyd shop most likely does not have the hose ends because they are slow sellers and are no longer used on modern equipt. But you can still get the hose from Ford.

I did talked to the Ford dealer in my area. Brought the part in for them to see. He was the one that pulled the service mannual with the part number. I ordered the part from them. He then called back and said it was not available anymore. He then gave me two other fordealership that said they had them in stock. Called them and they said it was on backorder with no delivery date.

Thanks for your help

Well that is the problem then. Ford must have just stop making the part but still has it in the books. Unless you can find someone with one in stock (unlikely) you will have to try and find a aftermarket adapter. My next step with be a Tisco dealer.
If you come over to the Ford Board on this site and talk to a guy named John-Bud he may beable to help you more. He knows a lot about the old 1801's.

Thanks - I will. Did call Messicks Ford and they said it is an obsolete part. They checked a couple of old parts warehouses with no luck. He told me he could not help me and good luck!.

Some lengths are still available from a NH dealer, a Tisco aftermarket parts dealer has the adapters to use a standard pipe thread hose.
