Had to wait fot the paint to dry (3rd coat) and decided to take the kids for a bike ride. Found this old stuff and thought it was neat. Not sure what I am looking at or what the area was used for, heck I don't even know who owns it. My dream boat is an old Chriscraft and I am not sure what this is, but it looks like it had a V8. The boats were all painted up for some sort of church camp Latest inspection was in 1992 What'ya think?

I'll bet Billy Mays could clean em all up with a little Oxy Clean and they'd be ready to go. The Spirit of 76 might need a little touch up paint, though.

Swastikas were used centuries before the powers of Germany adopted them and were a symbol of well being.

Native American Indians used a very similar symbol in their blanket weavings.

Other world cultures use the swastika as well.

With the exception of no visible junked cars and mobile homes, it fits my perception of West Virginia to a 'T'

Don't/Didn't see the Swastika, where is it in the pic?

It's the Century Arabian that has my interest.

It's right above and to he left of center, just below and to the right of the guages. faded pretty bad and I didn't catch it right away, but after seeing sparkplug's post I saw'r it.

Maybe that was done by some kids. Man those boats deteriorated fast.

I doubt if the boats were painted for a "church camp". Just another person who loves God.

I dont' really understand why a hough payloader has IH wheels on it.

Finally, my doctor's name is Koehring.

The Hough loader has three IH hubs and one marked with an H. Not sure how that works...

Two of the boats showed markings of being in some church camp. One was used for a classroom, by the signs painted on it. BTW, they were painted with latex house paint. The speedboat and the obvious sunken one being the exceptions.... Still thinking about that speedboat. I bet I could put more money in that hole than I did my last tractor!!! A guy has to keep busy doing something, right?

The ROPS appears to be homebuilt, but built stout for he$$! Could have used that machine last week.

The swastika is unusual in that it has the white surround with a faded red background, almost like a Nazi battle flag. Wonder how that ended up there?

IH bought out Hough and that was the basis of their construction 4 wheel drive articulating loaders. Then Dresser bought out the IH construction line when IH went belly up and eventually the Dresser Corp.partnered with Komatsu on stuff like thar. The Kohering excavator looks like either a 566 or 666 and was one of the most aggervating hydraulic backhoes know to exsist in our area. It is in a good place!
