I'm still working on that glue on the headliner. It's made of fiberglass so I don't really want to try a wire wheel.

That gasket scraper wouldn't touch it but found some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner that works with some elbow grease.

What I was wondering now is just how clean it needs to be? All of it comes off real good except the very top, It Is Tough, they must have used a different glue there because it still has a blotchy dark yellow look to it but it's fairly smooth to the touch.

Thanks
Jim

Jim,
Can't help with the question, but I would be interested in knowing who you got the kit from & what you think of its quality & fit. Thinking about redoing the cab in my 886 this winter.
Thanks,
Matthew

Mornin' Jim,

I wouldn't even waste my time.

That glue that they send with those kits grabs like you wouldn't believe.

Fact is, you'd better have it where you want it when applying the insulation because you can't move it, can't slide it, can't change it. Not one little bit.

If you've got the dirt and grime washed off of 'er, I'd plant it. No worries. :>)

That's what I'll do then, thanks Allan.
