I have an 8N with a front end loader, which is taking too much weight off the back tires. I was thinking of filling an old lawn roller with concrete and attaching to the 3 point hitch, but the roller would weigh about 1,600 lbs. Does anyone know the lift capacity of the 3 point hitch?

I made this one for my loader hundred series tractors.. weighs 450-600#.. depending on which one I have on.

Was made from old scrap fattle feed tub.. concrete.. and some parts fromthe scrap heap.. cost me just the bags of concrete..

Took less than an hour to build..

Lift capacity of an 8n is about 700 lbs at the end of the lower arms.

What I have found works best is fluid in the tires, WSWF and then also hang a back blade on back and have a few suit case weights on the blade. I use that set up on my 841 and have for 20 plus years and it works real good. The blade on the back with the suit case weights puts the weight out far enough to do some real good. I have tried the barrel fill of cement etc and it doesn't come close to what the blade does with the weights on it

You could cut 1/4 of a 55 gallon and fill it up with cement make you bracket s first then stick them in the cement for your 3 point hitch that should be plenty of weight.
