Few years back a guy bought a tractor and paid for it. It was non running and parked way out back. Other items had to be moved to retrieve it. The land owner would make no attempt to move the items or clear the road after numerous vitits by the new owner. Alwayse bocked and said the old next week or i got a guy comming to get item x and we will move it then. Never been in that mess myself but what would you all do.

I would give the guy a week to get it out and if he doesn"t tell him you are going to have a guy get it with a skylift helicopter and you will send him the bill for it. He might get off his duff then.

I usually wait to write the check or hand over cash after it is on my trailer unless I know the guy really well and trust him never pay for a non runner til I get it loaded especially if need there tractor or help loading.

Depending on what all had to be moved and any other circumstances beyond my control I don"t believe I"d have never paid for it til it as being loaded on my truck. If the guy realy wanted to sell it and wanted the money he"d have moved it quick in that case. Since the payment is a done deal in this instance, again it would depend on knowing the whole situation, I"d have to go with one of the replys below. Sounds like a good idea taking the sheriff out and either moving the stuff for myself or DEMANDING a full refund. The way I see it unless the guy just really really want"s the tractor, and got it for a song, he"d be better off getting his money back and looking elsewhere. After having his money tied up for a year and still no tractor it"s already cost him extra so he might have not got as good of a deal as it origionally was when you come right down to it.

When I bought my third tractor with second wife she said and I quote. " You buy another tractor and there will be a divorce!" Well number nine tractor should be delivered here within the next couple hours and number two wife still here. Not sure what to do, can't afford too many more tractors. LOL

I guess I would have settled that when I bought it. Now, I'd go the route of telling him what day I'm coming out, bring equipment to move everything, and just do it.

I would have the local Sheriff to go out with me to claim what I bought it will make him get a little busier in digging it out.

Hopefully I would have paid for it with a check and the item noted on the check or a receipt. Then I would call and say I will be there in two weeks to pick up my purchase, if I cant get to it, I'll move what I need to to get at it and bring witnesses and a video camera to ensure I cant get hit up after wards for damaging the stuff. So needless to say I would be hauling along a skid loader with a bucket and a set of forks.
