I bought two lo boys from a neighbor recently. They both have 3 point hitch, 60 inch mowers and are both in the early 70"s I suppose. One has the two brake pedals which is a rarity. That tractor has 24" tractor tires and narrow front tires while the tractor with one brake pedal has turf tires(16" on rear). I need to replace the friction discs in the pto clutch pack. They are worn slick and don"t hold anymore. Does anyone have a reasonable price replacement?

With a welder and torch.. almost anything is possible.

If you are looking into modern 3pt pto implements.. check that pto setup on the cub..

These tractors have a very odd ball pto system. It is belt driven from the flywheel through a shaft to a clutch pack at the rear so it is a live pto. The real killer is that it is a 15/16" diameter 15 spline REVERSE turning shaft. The implements have to be specifacilly adapted to it and the 154 I had was pretty much useless beyond mowing grass. Wait till you have trouble with the transmission mounted clutch,OUCH!!!

Ebay has them all the time - for a price.

For a HECK of a price!

I've tried to buy three off E Bay so far and just get weak kneed before I'll bid enough to get one. So far $600 wouldn't get it done.

My 154 has all the bracketry and the cylinder in place but is missing the lower arms, rockshaft and links. I'm about ready to give up and buy some suitable replacement links from Tractor Supply and manufacture the rockshaft and links. It would bee much cheaper.

They made a three point hitch for them. I have seen 2 of them in my travels several years ago.
Ask around some of these sites and you might get lucky and find one. There are still a lot of these 154 Lowboys around. I still have one but without the 3pt hitch. Also there probably are quite a few 154s sitting around that could possibly have the attachment that you are looking for. Good luck
Ken
