Here's some illustrations with the Deere part numbers, and the prices at my local DEERE dealer... they may vary. If you can identify the distributor, I would think a locla NAPA dealer, or plkace of that sort could probably cross the numbers.

Points AR12003 $23.89 Condensor AT14468 $6.04

Cap AT14190 $47.78

Rotor AR12001 $13.39

Prestolite has two screws that hold the cap on.Wico uses a copper strap on the condenser, I believe. Very few Wico distributors used and most of them were used in very early production. Most likely a Delco.Any partsman should be able to match up a set of points for you.

thanks that is just the info I was looking for and maybe it will save me a trip to the big city of Griffin Ga. to get the parts there is a tractor supply company there but its about 45min away Napa is closer but he only listed the screw down type cap for the delco maybe I'll call back and talk to the owner he knows what to look for but wasn't there when I called.

Isn't there a tag with the brand?

Don't think you will find a tag.

Andy, msb said he didn't think I would find one but I plan on looking again to make sure I'll lot you know if I do. Msb seems to have knowledge on these matters so maybe he can tell us why not when he gets back to this topic so we will understand even why jd put 3 different distributors on these tractors.
