On 7 1/2 wk trip, saw some dam happy cows,Minn,Iowa,Wis, Mich,Ind,Ill. Stopped boys in field when close and thanked them for feeding me all these years-pulled into hay field and showed some boys how to run along side truck and throw bales like i used to(sissies). Got disoriented cause no Mountains or smell of salt water-drove state line(gravel)for a few miles between Iowa and Minnesota. Wayne

If you were in Michigan and saw happy cows they weren't mine. Pastures have been burned up for weeks. Cows are eating dry hay and not liking it much.

Same with my central Michigan sheep. They"d give their fleece for a good day"s grazing in lush pasture!
