One more thing to ask you is do you have oil in the air cleaner and is it hooked up. the oil bath air cleaner does create the vacume needed for the side draft carb to function properly

You may still have a passage plugged. All those brass plugs need to be removed and the passages cleaned. Also maybe your air cleaner is causing a restriction. One more thing, do you have a good fuel flow from the tank? Good luck. Ron Mn.

You may have a hole in the float.

And no, you could put a 10 inch stove pipe on the exhaust and it will not affect engine performance.

I don"t think the exhaust pipe has any thing to do with the runing. You still have problems with carb. Make sure float level is ok, did you take the nozzle out in the center of carb. Posable that you might have a leaking manifold gkt. On the carb. the drain in the bottom take it out put a barb fitting and a length of clear tubing about 8 in. tie the end up then run your tractor the fuel level should be 3/4 in down from the top of the bowel.
