We have a Austin road grader (early to mid 30's) with a Mccormick 1020 ? tractor to power it. I would like to know if this is likley to be an industrial tractor or a farm tractor. My serial #s don't seem to match up to any list I've seen. Did Mccormick Deering have an industrial line of 1020s and what is the difference? Any information on this peice of equipment would be appreciated. We are looking to replace the tractor with a running 1020 but don't know for sure what we are looking for.

Probably was special built for tow tractor for grader. I know where a Case is that was built for to pull grader "no PTO or lift at all" , I have seen them pulled by a small cat about the size of D-3, Man that has been a long time early 40's .
