Leyland sleeves

Im putting new sleeves in a 270 leyland and was wondering what seals the top of the sleeve at top? There is two orings on the lower part but it would seem the top would need something also. There wasn't when I pulled the sleeves.

No seals at the top, the gasket looks after that, just clean the block bore out really well, put a smear of rubber grease on the "O" rings to make insitation easier. When installing the pistons you may have to clamp the liners in to position so as to stop them being pushed out by the pistons when you bar the engine over without the head on.
