I posted a for sale ad for a loader, and got a reply for it but I think it is a money scam. They want to send me the full price and the money for shipping, I am too cash the check and send the money to the shipping company. Sounds like a crock. The email seems pretty generic too, they didn't ask many questions about the loader or picking it up. I would rather have people call me and talk to me on the phone. I have had this happen before on a pickup, I asked them to call me and they quit emailing me. Just want all of you to watch out for these types of emails, wondering if anyone here has seen these too, they say they are from Newark New Jersey. Watch Out!

Friend of mine got a check for more than the asking price which he took to his bank and they verified it was fake. Wanted him to send the excess to a travel agent. He got the FBI involved.

happens all the time youcan always tell the junkies from the real people. Sell all the time on the web and thru my own website. But it always ends up being dealt with by phone or in person before things actually change hands.

If it sounds to good to be true it usually is . I put 2 ton Chevy on Internet for sale about a year ago some guy in Mexico e-mailed that he wanted it and would pay that I wanted for it but he would send cashier check for it and shipping that I was to then send rest to shipper . I might have been born day before yesterday but I'm not that dumb . I sent message that when they came to pick up truck to bring Cash that was the only way truck was going to leave my drive way. That was last I heard from him . I still have truck .

Had one like that on a wanted add a while ago. Placed an add wanting a draw bar for a 960 ford and a lady in Queens NY with bad english had just what I was looking for. Only had one left and would have it in the mail if I would only send her my credit card number. You just have to read and ask questions when do'n buisness on line.

Good Luck!

Dave

I had one try that 3 or 4 months ago. He emailed me and claimed to be interested in this very item, he didn't even know what it was. I just ignored the email.

Tj, it happens on anything and everything. No doubt it being a scam. Most of us have seen it so often we take it for granted that we will get one on every ad. I for one, have given up advertising anything. Just ignore it.
