Bill:
Will you explain that photo of the Ford tractor and the plow set-up, please? As I see it--the photo is a bit hazy--you've got a three blade roll-over on the front and a four or five blade roll-over on the rear. Does one use both plows simultaneously? Only in very soft dirt? LOTS of horsepower required? Front plow offset to 10 oclock and rear off-set to four oclock, from the perspective of the cab, so as not to duplicate work, or some sort of like set-up? Are there significant advantages to front/push plow? Weight distribution? Efficiency?

Thanks

these plow set ups were all the rage in the mid eight"s across the pond. they are incredibly hard to set up properly, but once they are they have the added advantages of good tractor balance which equals better traction and better fuel efficiency. both plows are used at the same time, but remember to push the hydraulic levers in the right order... the ford tractor in the photo is a County 1184? i think, somewhere around 120hp, they had great traction from the four equal sized wheel, but had a poor turning circle because of the same, great tractor though.
