All the below for the vets, but lets not forget the women too. Tv last night brought out some thing. When you see a man with artificial limbs..he can wear then out in the open with pride. When you see a woman with an arm missing, you feel sorry for them and they try to hide. We've got to change our thinking and give them the respect they deserve.

I have a friend of my mothers who served in the WWII Army nurse corps. Followed Patton up through Europe behind the lines but ahead of the field hospitals. Wont't talk much but someone should record her memories. 85+ now. Thanks to all Vets.

Good point. Here's my mom at 25 yrs. old serving in the WASPs in 1941-2.

The Army needed a way to deliver new planes from the factories to military bases somehow. Why tie up combat pilots when "girls" like this would jump at the chance to fly something with retractable wheels.

She's 91 now, going on 26.

I'll be. I've seen that picture many times. One of my sisters, now 93 tried to get there but was under weight. Give her the best.
