I'm just really pleased with the way this little sorrel is coming along and can't believe the difference only a month makes.

Not too shabby for a give-away and I knew darned well he was worth savin'. :>)

Yes sir, he has changed. Just can't let my kids see the pictures or they'll be wanting to drive out to western NE and deal you out of him.

Allen, if you keep showing those pictures of all those wide open spaces, I may climb on one of these mustangs and head west. That little horse will be Ok, he don't even look to pigeon toed in the pictures. Wouldn't even noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Have the wife ready with the video camera when you go to start riding him.

We want to see all the action ; )

The only thing one needs to know about horses is. They eat and crap every day.

He's got a real bad case of warts, which came on back when he was so sick, but he'll outgrow those in time as soon as his immune system develops and kicks in.

Also, he has bad conformation on those front legs in that he is just a touch pigeon toed. But, he can sure stay here and help me move cows for as long as he likes, pigeon toed or not. :>)

Hi Allen,

Looking good ! Does he have a name ?

When I cowboyed in NM. I rode a horse looked alot like him, named "Speedie" Brings back alot of memories. Havn't had the chinks on or the saddle out for awhile now.

Take care, Rick

Yepper,

Another day or so and he would have been dead from that shipping fever.

Crazy as a loon back then, but now he has finally learned respect and decided that we're not gonna eat him.

Just trimmed him all up good and taught him how to stand on three legs. :>)

Old Marty Robbins song. Strawberry roan. This guy's confirmation reminds me of the description he gives in that song. You may have a reg'lar outlaw there!

That quarter horse rear end says he'll make a fine cuttin pony. Good thing you ain't gonna eat him, the last of the slaughter houses was closed for good here in IL by our illustrious Governer. The dogooders had their way and anybody with rabbits, chickens or cute little goats better watch out 'cause ANYTHING is fair game now!
