Hi Gang;
Someone asked how much tax we pay on gasoline & deisel used in cars & trucks.

80% TAX - YES 80% TAX !!!!!

New plot here by left wing Government is to fit every vehicle with a "black box" which will monitor every mile you drive via GPS satelite and you will be charged a tax on every mile you drive ! Rush hour on motorways (freeways) into cities will be the most expensive. Talking a base price of $3 per mile for average roads !!!
Anyone want to adopt my wife & I and give us a good home in the USA?!?!
David

When adjusted for inflation gasoline is more costly today then ever before.

I stand corrected Re: the current price of gasonline - apparently the adjusted price exceede the record in the US in the last few days.

I mainly buy diesel, which didn't spike recently, so I guess I hadn't noticed.

David: Don"t rush into any relocation plans; there are all kinds of similar plans being bruited about here, and while they"re bringing on apoplexy in the open-space areas (understandably) they"re gathering support among those who spend 2-3 hours or more a day in bumper-to-bumper 10mph commutes to work. It"s unfortunate that both your such taxes (long ago imposed, largely successfully, to prevent widespread car ownership) and the proposed plans here can"t (won"t?) be adjusted to cut down travel in congested areas without penalising those in outlying area.

Sounds like your government is in desperate need of money and like over here taking it out on the working class.
