boggs down after mowing for awhile 15-25 min.

We have a wheel horse ,120 Automatic 12 hp. kohler that's wants to bogg down and create a chirpping sound after about 15-25 min. of mowing has new belts,sharp blades...so what gives?...thanks

Clean the debris and mouse nests from around the cylinder cooling fins, and replace the head gasket, torquing the head properly.

Sounds like it might be getting over heated.Check and see if you are getting good air flow through the engine. Sometimes mowers get chaf around cyl. & head and they will over heat.Don

When I tore down a 14 HP K321 series Kohler awhile ago, the sludge in the pan was quite thick, being a splash lube system, this can't be good, valve was stuck too, but it sat for quite awhile. Good measure to change oils in these, do wonder if that would have had an effect on performance, what was on in the pan sure was a nasty substance to be in an engine.

Ya might try running some Marvel Mystery Oil in with the gas. Darned valves will try to stick in the guides.
