It always amazes me the way those cows will delegate baby sitting duties to another cow and also the way they will hide their calves.

I knew she had put him somewhere 'cause she just didn't seem concerned in the least.

I tromped over 15 acres this morning and spent a good deal of time before I finally saw this little guy wiggle an ear. :>)

I one large Black Cow that never looks like she is pregnant, she will disappear for two days and then come back with a calf. I swear she goes out and steals them.

Allen, that baby sitting always amazed me to. I had an old black and white face cow that would baby sit, and let all the other calves suck. Good thing she had lots of milk. We called her old granny.

Yeah,

This momma has now become the "boss" cow. She's half way 'cross the farm filling her belly and the calf is left to the "junior pardner" for safe keeping.

Kinda neat to watch how that works.
