I have a 6 ft woods mower behind my MF 231. For some reason the rear wheel doesn't track staraight all the time. Sometimes it gets cocked a little leaving a skid mark. the bearings in the frame shaft, and wheel are ok. Any body have any ideas what would make the wheel not track straight? Thanks Stan

The beam where the tail wheel is mounted should be secured to the mower frame without being all wobbly. If the bolts are all worn out, get yourself some hard bolts and nylon lock washers to cinch everything up with. If it's already tight, chances are the shaft on the tail wheel is bent slightly. It doesn't take much because it's a fairly close tolerance, but it'll be a job getting it straight so it won't bind.

Shaft that pivots is probably bent a little bit.

One thing at a time.

What's the story on the transmission in the truck?

It acted ok friday morning. It only does this very seldom. When it does I get that sick feeling, but then it goes as normal. When I get a cnance I am going to pull the pan to see what I can see. Stan

Pull the shaft out and inspect it.
