Tire shop has a set of 16.9x38 radials, 6 ply, in the warehouse for $615.00/ tire, that would fit my raking and scraping tractor. Any problems with BFG tires? Thanks, Kent in NB.

I have sold and installed Goodrich ag tires for the past several years and the only problem I have with them is the availability. Seems whenever I would like some they weren't any around. But I have had no problems with their quality or longevity. I like selling them.

I dunno..... yet. I stuck a set on last year. They look, ride, and pull like AgriBib's. Wear seems good on them so far, so I can't complain about that. The only thing that I have noticed is that they are starting to crack at the base of the lugs, and that makes me rather uncomfortable. There's been no problems yet, but I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. I bought them for the same reason you want them. The price was right. So, we'll see. Ya win some, ya lose some.....

According to the Goodrich website, they no longer make agrcultural tires or any tires. They sold the rights to use their name to a company that makes automotive tires. The site did not say when they quit production. I don't know anything good or bad about their tires, but Goodrich has an aircraft brake manufacturing facitily in my county and they were recently fined several million dollars for lying on their environmental impact waste discharge plan to the county. They got caught dumping unauthorized pollutants into the sewer system. Those pollutants end up in the sludge and biosolids that gets disced into the local farms. For those reasons, I would not buy a Goodrich tire or any of their products.

David I think you are confusing Goodyear with Goodrich.

I thought the topic was BF Goodrich tires. The brake factory in our county is BF Goodrich AKA: Goodrich Corporation in Charlotte North Carolina. It was their website that said they stopped making agricultural tires and sold the automotive tire business. The website said they were concentrating in the aerospace industry. I wonder if they sold the rights to use their name on agricultural tires; or maybe I read it wrong.
