Finally got around to working on the old beast. Changed the points and condenser and she fired up just fine. I guessed on the gap on the points. Does anyone know what the gap should be? John Deere 2510.

Thanks for all the help,

Dug

I don't know about the 4 cyl but I know the 2 cyl JD tractors are 22 thousands on the points.

Most any ignition points will work when gapped at 0.018. Exact specs are best, of course. In a pinch, gapping with a paper match stem will work.
