I run 2 sububan tractors for cutting my lawn - both fuelpumps quit so I just bypassed them = they wotk fine but have one problem , you cant drive up hill.
On flat ground they work fine.

If you really think it's the pump a electric pump costs about $40. Beware though it'll keep pumping if you crash at 60 mph.

Try all the Small Engine places around your area. They likely have some old Onan's laying around they have replaced with other engines. Also there is a very small seal on the carb adjusting screw, check that isn't cracked.
