My son has the thought of possibly putting a belly mower on his 51 A Deere. Anybody had any good/bad experiences with this combination? Any advise as to make, style, model of mower? He mows around a couple of good sized hog sites and the budget is tight. Jim

I had a Woods on a 41 A once. Great for short grass but if it is tough or tall the belt would slip. At the time a JD 212 did a better job in the tough and tall grass. I am not current as to if anyone makes a shaft driven belly mower but am sure it would cost more.

Another thought we had was to make a rudimentary three point hitch for it and use a 3PT mower, but he wants to use the tractor to pull the loading chute around.
