This is embarrassing! I just bought a Ford 9-N tractor. It ran great. I shut off the fuel that runs to the carb and let the engine die. When I went to restart it I opened the fuel shut off switch first, then I used the electronic starter to get the engine on... engine was turning over but not catching. How do I get the fuel back to the carb after I open the switch?!! I let it sit there for a bit of time; same difference. (Having had experience with tractors would have been real helpful!) For what it's worth, I've just ordered manuals for this beast! Thanks for the input.

Try pulling the Choke out while trying to start it.
