Going to Tractor Supply and Rural King this morning and son's 6.5 throwed a rod out the pan. No warning, just crusing along at 55 and boomb. Pressure washer froze and burst. Now wife is out mowing. First time on a tractor with a clutch. Have heard grinding gears. Can't stand to watch. Can't tell here either..

Last year I took the fairly new Lawn tractor down to get the mail let it set there idling while I walked across the road. when i got back it was making a little ting, ting, ting then wham as the rod came out the side. Funny it was so quick I couldn't get the thing shut off in time. Anyway it was under warrante and they put in a new engine so it didn't cost anything. Those rods can blow quick sometimes with no warning or reason.

You blow a rod in the truck?? Buddy---your wife's foot on the clutch and grinding gears on the tractor is the least of your problems!!!! Maybe if your wife would've been driving the truck----you wouldn't have had to let us know about the blown rod-----IOW---let her drive the truck sometimes, too!!!!

i took several older power tools apart to regrease and replace bearings in the motors, but wound up breaking them before i got them back together...it was a drill, vacuum cleaner, belt sander, grinder, and a saw. I SWEAR, i will throw out the tool the next time it screws up.

The rod may have just poped out and through the pan driving down the rood at 55....but the problem started a couple days a go when he was over tacking the engine showing off or drag racing with his friends..... I been there and done that.....Oh no dad not me..... .
