Allen,

Concerning your question from the corn planting post, I don't know why the dairy farmer replanted the frost damaged corn. I will keep an eye on it. Maybe he didn't want to take a chance on a short silage crop.

Yeah, I've had garden corn come back after being nipped by frost. I like to make one planting of sweet corn before April 1. Didn't happen this year though.
(big turkey just walked across yard while I was typing.)

I hear ya,

I've had corn get sawed off at ground level by blowing dirt, frozen off and hailed out.

If it is below the 6-leaf stage, it will bounce right back. Stars over, but doesn't have to lay the root again.
