I am looking for advice and opinions on best tires for pulling mostly on black top. I heard radials are the best is the 23degrees or 45 degrees make a difference. I am using a Farmall M and looking at 16'9 or 18'4 tires

Go and watch them once. See what the top 3 places used. May be surprised!

I have heard of pulling on blacktop but never seen it. I would think that a good set oof almost worn out tires would be good for that as you would get more rubber on the ground. Since it is blacktop your not worrying about the lugs digging in and gripping. Not so sure that 45's wouldn't be better on blacktop as it would give you less time on the bar when it is on the ground.

You pull on BlackTop isn't that awful hard on the tractor.

acually pulling on blacktop its harder to get traction so I would think its easier as you usaully spin out instead of lugging the motor out

I have run both on my M. 16.9's do better than the 18.4. Actually the best I have ever done was with a road worn set of 14.9 tires. I have seen a number of different brands used and that doesn't really seem to be a part of the equation.
