That seller is actually not a person, but one of those companies that sells your stuff on eBay for you for a percentage of the profits.

So it doesnt surprise me that some place that sells stuff like juice glasses and china doesnt know all that much about a tractor that they picked up.

but at least they tried to get some old iron out there instead of scrapping it, right?

Don't you guys just love, when a tractor is so rare, the seller doesn't even know the model? I'll tell ya, you just can't mess with a person that is that knowledgable about Farmall. Some people just get all the rare tractors, I can't find them.

Maybe the owner doesn't really want to sell it, but he told the Mrs he would at least "try"?

One of those "either it goes, or I go" things?

Sad thing is, my brother is probably just such an idiot who would bid on such a thing. Good thing it's so far away, or I'd have to tell him about that great deal on ebay. tell him to pick up that chevy too....

That is a rare tractor, I think it's the only $6,500 Farmall A I've ever seen!

They're around but you don't see many that nice. Seems to be a very knowledgable seller too. The car guys here ought to check out that sharp '55 Chevy as well.

They's a sucker born ever second an it only takes one.

I did check out the Chevy. A 4 door sedan in average unrestored condition with some rust. A $5,000 car any day of the week around here, bids start at $16,500 and buy it now at 28 grand. I think some guys are watching a little too much Barrett-Jackson.
