To answer your question, "I don't know," but do a web search and I'll bet you can find a forum like this one and/or more catalogs then you'll ever want.

The Japanese Zero was the far superior fighter plane in WW11. It could out manuever our P-38, the German Mesershmidt or the RAF planes hands down. The only way to beat 'em was to gain altitude and dive down on them. So the history books say.

Several times in the past century Japanese ingenuity was just to copy American geniuses when we did not listen (e.g., Howard Hughs with the Zero powerplant and E.W. Jennings with quality management).

Ergo. . . the Japanese have had superior engineering for an awful long time. By the by, I remember the children's song "Jesus loves the children of the world, whether yellow black or white, they are precious in His sight . . .

One final note, the Arabs are great at astronomy and mathematics. The Russians are pretty good at space exploration and IBMs. The Swiss make pretty neat watches. If I could afford the best I would always buy from the best.

Around here, the law targets the cars, with "Bumblebee" exhausts, spoiler wings, etc..

Ya wanna hear something funny? A couple years ago back when I was in high school, the local race track has "beat the heat" drags for high school kids. One guy was racing his civic, missed the next gear and threw it in reverse instead!!

Instantly blew the engine, tranny, and threw the car into the wall.... I don"t think he ever raced again....

WHAT is there to be ashamed of about owning a Nissan Altima???? They are one of the better automobiles one can own. Only a Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord might prove better, due to their "slight" edge in reputation for longjevity, but an Altima is a Great car and if I didn't have a Toyota Camry I might have had one of them!

Certainly, neither an Altima, Camry or Accord is likely to ever need serious parts. The most important thing to remember about owning one of those cars is that whenever you stick the key in the ignition, and turn the key, the engine is going to instantly run!

Ford Taurus owners certainly CAN'T say that!

What parts would you need? My wife has had 3 Altima's in the last 10 yr. and the only parts needed are oil, filters and tires

If that was the only parts they needed, why three in ten years. I drive mine till they can't be fixed anymore. I like to drive a while after payments are over.

He said "aftermarket parts".

Probably like "phart-can" mufflers, NOX, a turbo, and a "wing" for the back.

Figured that. I have two teen-aged boys.

How about a Bassani exhaust? (Don't know if they're any good, but the "Bassani Babes" aren't half bad!)

These kids nowadays have little choice but to drive rice burners with $3 a gallon gas. Back when I was a kid, there were no Bassani exhausts....but glass packs and Crager mags, Hurst shifters, Mallory dual points, Holley double pumpers all tied to a 426 Hemi, 440 Magnum, 427 or 454. They made for a lot of 'go', nowadays, it's all for 'show'!

Back to jap cars....there is no better on the roads today and we have the Nips to thank for current quality of American cars which began to steadily increase after the Jappers began to eat their lunches and profits. If Toyota ever builds a tractor.....I want one!

Just get a Kubota. My L245 is 30 years old and doesn't have any oil leaks. I did have to replace the water pump and have the radiator cleaned.
