Wasn't LT1 a Vette motor that ended up in Chevy SS and Roadmaster Buick. Guy on EBay says he has one in Cadillac. Anybody remember any positive ID for this motor? I kinda think he's wrong, but maybe I forgot! Thanks.

I just sold my wifes wrecked 93 Roadmaster. It had a 350 but it didn't get up and go like any thing special.

A 93 Impalla sedan and a 94 through 96 Impalla SS are two different animals.

Dave- The Chevy Impala SS was a very impressive car. I have owned several Corvettes and had the opportunity to drive a new Chevy SS and was surprised at the acceleration. Hope they put the LS7 in something besides the Z06 Corvette.

In 1994 I bought a new Formula Firebird that had the LT1 engine identical to the Vette.A columnist in the auto section of the paper wrote about LT1's saying that the Firebird and the Camero offered them and for the buck you got just as big a bang instead of paying that big sticker tag on a Vette. I liked that Bird,6 speed manual and it flew, wasn't a Mustang could touch it!

The Buick Toad-Master had a two bolt bolt detuned version of the LT-1, L-98 or something like that. There was a hopped up version called the LT4 as well.

I don't remember Cadillac ever having that motor either; I think you are right about Corvette, SS, and Buick Roadmaster. LT1 engines would have the front mounted optispark distributor under the water pump.
