What practical at home fry oil to diesel cleanup and conversion machines/kits are there out there? What is involved? I have alotted 2000 dollars to get this project started. What can I buy or put together for that?

Are you looking to make bio-diesel out of it, or are you going to try and burn the waste oil directly? Depending on how much work you want to do to the vehicle/tractor in question, that can determine which route you take.

Dave, Awhile back Myth Busters ran some used frying oil through a filter and ran it in a Mercedes Benz diesel with no mods whatever,milage droped 2 or 3 MPG(not bad for free fuel)

Aren't you limited to about 10% mix of vegetable oil with 90% real stuff? I would like to be informed.

Search the net! There are several setups that use hot water heaters and pumps that can be built for a couple hundred bucks.
