I got the flywheel off. got the five bolts out of d-shaped cover took off cover and there is the metal spacer that spins but i dont see any gaskets im assuming it would be rubber ? The gaskets under the actual cover fell apart so i know it was bad . I'm kinda confused about the gasket in and around spacer that spins because i dont see any ?

The gasket is inside the metal spacer that spins. It is usually a thick cork gasket that will probably be very hard and brittle. You will have to pry it out of there and it will probably break up into pieces. The replacements that I've gotten from John Deere are a rubberized cork. Grease up the new gasket and the crankshaft real good. Be real careful when installing that it doesn't get caught on the splines and gets torn. Hopefully you made a witness mark where the slot in the spacer was in relation to the cover. This will aid in replacing the flywheel in the correct position.

Pull the spacer off the crankshaft. It is inside the spacer..
