I found someone selling "miscellaneous" unused steel (square tubing, angle, channel) for 25 to 35 cents per pound. My guesstimate is that his is 1.5 to 2 times the price of scrap, which seems reasonable to me. Does this sound like a reasonable price to you all?

Thanks.

New steel is 50 to 65 cents a pound now.

If they have what you need go for it.

I haven't scrapped any steel lately but I think #1 steel is going for $150 a ton or 7.5 cents a pound in Boston (Everett). I have more than 100 tons of steel in my yard and would be glad to sell some of it for 25 cents a pound. I am in Tewksbury. Email is open.
