my tractors got liquid filled tires, and a rear one seems low pressure. the problem is the valve stem is on inner side of rim and can't be reached when at the top, unless the fender and ROPS is removed. Is there an easier way to check tire pressure and maybe add some air in liquid filled tires?

actually...what we DON'T do is check the air in a calcium filled tire. I have never in my life heard of checking a filled tire. basically we just fill them with enough air so that it doesn't look sagging at the bottom. I'm never fanatical when it comes to tire pressure.

You are inviting tire failure by not checking the pressure. The tire salesmen really like people like you. They make gauges for checking fluid filled tires for a reason.

I use a gauge made for liquid filled tires. Think the last I purchased was from napa. Like others have said you can check with the valve anywhere, but if you want to really be on the dot, figure out the weight of the fluid-about 1/2 lb per foot of liquid above the valve stem and add this to reading. But this isn't that important, to me anyway. After using gauge flush with water and then WD-40. Mine have lasted several years doing this. Another way to check ( on normal size wheel and tire ) put in air until edge of tire bar on ground starts to lift up.

can I safely add air with stem at bottom and through liquid?

As said below you can check the pressure of the fluid instead of the air just remember it takes the fluid longer to fill the gauge so you have to hold it on the stem longer. When you have the tire up to the pressure you want then put the gauge in clean water and pull the stem out several times. Put the gauge up and then throw it away the next time you go to use it. You can buy liqud gauged, they are the same except they are spring loaded to push the fluid out. But if they aren't used regular they go bad. So buy a throw away gauge to start with.

You can check the peassure and have the tire any place. Figure it this way preassure its preassure wheather its water or air and will measure the same on either, but you will need to wash out that gauge if you use it because if filled with CACL it will eat the gauge

The pressure can be checked with the valve stem down. The pressure on the water is the same as the air pressure within the tire....it is hard on tire guages but really not much worse than checking them with the stem at the top as come fluid is always trapped in the valve stem.

I guess you could add air with the valve at the bottom. The pressure from the compressor should push the air past the liquid.

The only way I can think of to check pressure would be to add a temporary extension to the valve stem so you can snake it out from under the fender. RV supply stores sell kits for extending the valves on inner duals on motor homes out to the outside of the wheel so they can be reached easier by old men wearing white knee shorts and hawaiian shirts. It usually consists of a flexible rubber hose with a threaded connection on one end and a normal tire valve stem end on the other. You screw the female end to the tire's valve stem and then run the hose where you want it. That's the only idea that comes to me.
