My family is taking a trip to Washington DC and a side trip to see some historic spots in Virginia. We will be there from March 22 through March 29th. Any ag /tractor museams/tractor pulls?
Thanks for any info.
Steve

Just got back from there - in fact the boy is stil there until 3/25. Just a note, we stayed at the Hyatt in Fair Lakes, VA - Fair Lakes Circle road. The price was comparable, still too much, and the hotel was great. About 5 mins from the metro line into DC which stops near everything there is to see. If you are in the area, Joe's Crab Shack and the Silver Diner are reasonable food. There is a Japanese steakhouse which was very entertaining too.

Have a good trip.

Bill

Give a holler over on the Oliver Forum for ShepVA. He has a live working farm in the vicinity and some really good machines. He may not have time as it is getting to be planting time.

That I-6 wouldn't be near Amoret, Mo would it. Seems like a yellow one like it 'sold' on ebay in Feb '06. Here's the link. Wish it was closer.

On that same note, the Museum of American History is also closed for a major renovation, so that one will not be available for you to visit either.

The Air & Space museum is definitely a good one.

This is the closest thing I can think of for a good "museum" of farming.

there was a 1928 D in the smithsonian and a 1586 international. the cyrus mccormick reaper, and other stuff, well it's never going to have a complete ag wing, because there were tons of innovations over the years.

The Smithsonian Air and Space near the Capitol and at Dulles is worth the trip. The Wall and the Korean War memorial are must stops. The Korean memorial must also be viewed at night. I believe there is an agricultural wing of the Smithsonian. Anyone else car to ring in?

Love that area! I lived there for nearly 6 yrs. as a Beltway Bandit working DOD contracts both in DC area and Pax River. I thoroughly enjoyed the watermen and that whole aspect of the area.

I lived in Hollywood, Lusby, Charlotte Hall, Park Hall and once in Leonardtown. I liked the history and lifestyle but found gun laws very oppressive.
