"successful farming" is a good magazine, I get it, but I think that it could (should) be called "successful midwest large grain farming corporation magazine"

just my thoughts

I would suggest Farm Show. It's an interesting magazine that gives you lots of great ideas for projects around the farm. Check it out at: farmshow.com

There are several good periodicals out there. My personal favorite is Progressive Farmer. The region that it primarily serves is significantly southern states, but there is just something about the style and the way that they format their articles that I find appealing. Very genuine. A paper that is comparable to the Advance is called Farm World. Used to be called Farm Week. Oh. In. Mi. Il. Ia. Ky., are the primary states that it covers. Great for sales, classified, dealers, and good reading too.

Yea,where did that Farm World come from anyway? They started sending it to me on a regular basis and I didn't subscribe to it. It has my full address on it,so I had to think it was't a sample. Pretty good paper though, even if it does make me miss Kentucky.

Successful Farming magazine is at agriculture.com online. Someplace there should be able to renew to subscribe? That one and several other magazines are under Meredith publishing now and just renewed mine and someplace the have a list of many others that are more specific to your area and what you grow the Forage & Hay one mentioned and example like Texas Farmer Stockman or Delta Farmer Stockman magazines.

I don't know how we could ever live without the Farmers Advance, although, since Jennifer Vincent took over as editor of Michigan Farmer,I have to say there has been a huge improvement there.

Farmers Advance is a good, weekly newspaper. Has an excellent auction schedule, and a good classified ad section, all on farm stuff. Articles are pretty good too.
